Monday– Welcome back from the wind and rain. Hopefully everyone has their power back on! Our sever has been down all weekend and our great tech department has worked hard to get it up and running this morning.

Tuesday

Grade 6/7 Boys’ Basketball practice 7:30 a.m. in the gym

Jazz band 8:30 a.m. in the band room.  Grade 7 and 8 students are still invited to join. 

Sk8 Club today @ lunch (weather permitting). Waivers must be in to Mr. Donegani or Mr. Kovacik to be eligible to participate (forms are in the office)

Twoonie Tuesday – Help “Together Topping up Tummies on Twoonie Tuesday” by bringing a twoonie to school today and support our Local Food Bank. The Sooke Harbourside Lions have dropped off a collection tin in every classroom. We will collecting all week! 

Picture Retake Day – if your child didn’t get his/her picture taken in September, your are new to Journey, or you want them to get a retake, this your last chance to get it done (remember it goes in the yearbook, bus pass and student card).

Wednesday – PAC Lunch today is Sushi and Hotdogs

Me to We Club: We have several students who have already joined and we still have room to add a few more members in order to diversity the voices and perspectives being shared. If your child has in social issues and who might like to help out with projects to make change in the world, please tell them to meet with Ms. Wiens or Mrs. Ouldali today. Thursday

Great BC Shake-out Drill 10:30 – Today across BC people will be practicing the Drop, Cover, Hold On Drill in case of an earthquake. They don’t call it the Ring of Fire for no reason! We are required to have a least one earthquake drill per year.

Exploratories – Remember to bring everything you need and that students are expected to take this course as much as any other.  Outdoor exploratories will be outside. We live on the Wet Coast – be prepared!

Friday – Professional Development Day – school is not in session for students
