Home / School News / This Week @ Journey April 10-14

Congratulations to Zander H., Mary-Anne K., and Aodhan T. for representing Journey at the Provincial Robotics Championships in Abbotsford this week. Our team, coached by Ms. Dvorak, placed First on Vancouver Island and in the top 25 in BC.

Toutes nos félicitations to Emma B., Mindalynn F., and Laura V. for representing Journey at Concours d’art oratoire. All three did extremely well at this French public speaking completion. Laura placed third in her age group and Emma and Mindalynn tied for fourth in their age group. We are proud of all of our students and the confidence they demonstrated in front of the judges!

Effort & Honour Roll Assembly for term two was organized and run entirely by grade 8 student leaders! There were a record number of students who received Effort Role Certificates (grade 6-8). The list of Honour Role students who have been recognized for both terms is also very impressive. Work hard in term three and finish the year strong!

Local Food Bank Empty – Volunteers from our local Food Bank informed us that the shelves are bare and we at Journey want to offer some support. EMCS is organizing another food drive at the end of April; however, they need help now and we are hoping get them through. If you are able, please bring in non-perishable cans and packages. We will be collecting items Monday-Wednesday this week.
